Information For Members

Ozaukee County Fish & Game Assn.

Dear Sportsperson,

Thank you for your interest in the Ozaukee County Fish and Game Association.  We  have a group of approximately 67 working individuals interested in pheasant hunting and trap shooting.  Our members enjoy hunting on approximately 700 acres of land consisting of fields, woods and swamp.  Pheasant hunting gets underway around the second week of October and continues through the end of February.  Both rooster and hen pheasants are legal game on our preserve.  Birds are released every weekend except for holidays, deer gun season and extremely severe weather.  Each member is issued tags to hunt and kill 25 pheasants.

We have five lighted traps that are open to the public.  Our clubhouse contains two bars and a meeting/dance hall with a fireplace.  We also have a 100 yard rifle/pistol range.

Club goals are to keep the working membership around 67. Our ever changing environment periodically provides a few open memberships.  These openings are for working members.  Today, a working member must put in  a minimum of 45 hours per year at the club.  You can buy down 10 hours leaving you with 35 hours.  The fee for the buy down is $100.  Most of the club hour requirements are on Tuesday and Thursday nights during our spring, summer and fall trap leagues.  Trap league assignments can be marking scores while pulling for shooters, tending bar or main desk functions.  Other potential club assignments are the rifle sight-in, bird release team, grounds maintenance or sporting clays.

Our one time initiation fee is $200 and the current annual dues are at $250, which can change yearly depending on the financial status of the club.  You may pay your initiation fee in full along with your application and annual dues or you may pay it over a two year period by splitting the amount to $100 with your initial application and $100 on the following annual due dead line.

If you are interested in being considered for membership in our organization, please fill out the enclosed application and forward to:  Ozaukee County Fish & Game,              Attn: Membership, P.O. Box 356, Grafton, WI 53024.  When memberships are available, they are on a first come basis. You will be placed on a waiting list and called when your name reaches the top of the list.

 Regards,

 Membership Director
